Story

For Lara, rather than being distractions, other disciplines of art have helped her understand positives of every experience applied to creating, to painting. Her newest body of works "Melancholia" serves as frameworks to tackle the dichotomy of circus, the joy-sadness feeling out of a server entertainment with animals. Lara seizes this opportunity to make of it playful pictorial representations of wild animals interacting in motion, Beyond figuration, one finds fresh transitions to abstraction spots on the very same paintings, which are highlighted by vestiges of drawings and neo expressionistic traces. It is though the movement the most recurrent element in Lara´s figuration works.
